After some digging on Google, I searched for the company that is allegedly attempting to create some type of GPS module. From other articles they are saying it is slated for a February release. The company is called parts foundry.
There are many questions I have about this product. If they expect to team up with 3rd party developers before the SDK then they should be ready to have big issues.
